We have studied the sills from mansory for Mercedes Benz G class and tried to finalize the weak points that appear in our harsh Russian climate. For example, mansory's electric retractable sills have actuators on each bracket. And it would be good if there was not one simple rule! The more motors the more problems. We have made on the Gelentwagen sills one powerful drive motor with gearbox. Depending on the model of the retractable sills there are 2 or 3 step mounting loops. Also for Mercedes Benz 4x4 or lifted versions we have provided sills with low landing. We in our company assume that the best option of step height is just below the wheel axis.
